Approach

The educational approach of Tran Quoc Toan Foundation rests on three principles across English School and Startup School. We prioritize deliberate practice, work aimed at real people, and feedback clear enough for learners to know how to improve.

Many education programs start from content that must be “covered” in a syllabus. We start from the capability the learner needs to form. If the goal is communication, class time must include speaking and feedback. If the goal is entrepreneurship, class time must include real problems, user interviews, and prototypes.

AI appears in the learning journey as a supporting tool — helping research, draft, code, or test faster — not as a replacement for learner judgment. People still need to ask the right questions, evaluate output quality, and own their decisions.

Progress is tracked through milestones: from an intake assessment, through practice loops, to a final product or presentation. We want learners to see their own path — not only receive a final result.

Learn by Doing

Practice more than lecture. Every session asks for a concrete output: a conversation, interview notes, a demo, or an improvement cycle. Theory appears when it clarifies the next action.

Build for Real People

Aim at real users and situations. Learners practice speaking with people, not only with a textbook. In Startup School, they validate ideas with people who have real problems before investing more time in a product.

Grow Through Feedback

Grow through clear, continuous feedback. Notes are criterion-based, timely, and paired with a next action. Learners practice receiving feedback — and gradually become better at evaluating their own work.
