Startup School
Green Bin Router
A Founder Lab team built a sorting guide for apartment waste: sample photos, short rules, and collection-day reminders.
Problem
Residents want to sort correctly, but signs are generic, hard to remember, and disconnected from real collection schedules.
Approach
After observation and building-manager interviews, the team made a photo–rule prototype by waste type and tested it with 12 households.
Outcomes
- A sorting guide prototype by waste type
- Feedback from 12 trial households
- An improved version before Demo Day
