Neighborhood English Map

A Young Communicators team built a real-world conversation map around their neighborhood — from greetings to asking for directions and introducing places.

Problem

Many learners know vocabulary but freeze in nearby situations: asking for directions, describing amenities, or chatting briefly with international neighbors.

Approach

The team surveyed common locations, wrote short dialogue scripts, recorded speaking samples, and practiced reflexes location by location on the map.

Outcomes

  • 12 conversation scenarios tied to real places
  • Each member delivered a 3-minute English speaking tour
  • Pronunciation and fluency feedback after every practice loop
